Great Fun in Grand Forks

After the reunion it was back to Grand Forks for some more cousin time. The final days of July went much, much too fast! We fit in lots of fun activities; we'll start off with these.

First, Aaron gave us a tour of the airport and an up-close-and-personal look at various aircraft.

This one can land on water.

A helicopter that looks straight out of Star Wars.

I give you ... the King Air.

Plane parking.

Our airport picnic.

Inside tour.

We collected smooth rocks to paint into animals. It was a great outdoor project for all of us!
Tanya and I made this bunny and turtle.

The kids made turtles, bugs, and other more abstract things.

Pure concentration.
Nara and her ladybug.

Focusing on the turtle shell.
We also enjoyed the basement's wonderful floors for riding trikes, bikes, strider bikes, unicycles, and small wheelie toys. This was the perfect place for Misha to get good on his new unicycle. Within a day or two, he could already ride between the support beams (back when they were still his friends).  Sebby mastered the strider bike and even learned how to do stand-up gliding on it.

The riding continued outside - on four, two, and one wheel.

Misha and I can now ride together! So fun.

A piggy back for my favorite niece.

Too short to ride Misha's uni, Sebby has to be content with rides for now.

We also spent lots of time in nature, like this trip to our favorite little pond. The algae was amazing. The kids were very excited to watch the schools of dark, small swimmers gliding through the water. We had hoped they were tadpoles, but they seem to be bullfish or catfish.

Ecstatic over pond life!

Algae galore

Harry gets bigger and cuter every day!
